Reviewer Response Form
Review Form of Original Papers for Publication in JRHMS

Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Research in Health and Medical Sciences (JRHMS) undergo an initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief. This first step ensures that each submission meets the scientific standards, originality requirements, and thematic focus of the journal.
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s structure, methodological rigor, or ethical standards may be returned to the authors for correction prior to review.

Once the manuscript passes this stage, a unique submission code is assigned for all future correspondence.
Eligible submissions proceed to a double-blind peer review process, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least three independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers’ comments are shared with the authors, and their revised responses are then re-examined by the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editor. If necessary, a final evaluation may be conducted by an Editorial Board member.

The final decision regarding publication, revision, or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief after consulting the Editorial Board.
Submissions authored by editorial members or staff of JRHMS are handled with full transparency and are subject to the same independent peer review standards, with no involvement of the submitting editor in the review or decision process.

Ethical Principles
JRHMS adheres to the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (www.icmje.org).
The editorial office reserves the right to make linguistic and stylistic revisions to accepted manuscripts to maintain clarity and consistency with journal guidelines.
Authors bear full responsibility for the content and accuracy of their published work.

Research Involving Humans and Animals
Studies involving human participants or animals must comply with ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and relevant institutional or national regulations.
For animal research, manuscripts must include a statement confirming approval by an institutional ethics committee and compliance with accepted international standards for animal welfare.
Authors must demonstrate adherence to ethical and legal requirements governing the care and use of experimental animals.

Informed Consent
Participants in clinical or experimental studies must receive complete information regarding the study’s objectives, methodology, and any potential risks or side effects.
Obtaining written informed consent from all participants or their legal guardians is mandatory.
JRHMS reserves the right to request related documentation. Manuscripts involving human subjects must explicitly mention the informed consent process in the Methods section.

Authorship Criteria
Authorship is restricted to those who meet all of the following four conditions based on the ICMJE recommendations:
  1. Significant contribution to the conception, design, data acquisition, or interpretation of the study;
  2. Active participation in drafting or critical revision of the manuscript for intellectual content;
  3. Final approval of the version to be published;
  4. Accountability for all aspects of the work, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the published content.

Conflict of Interest
All authors are required to disclose any conflict of interest—financial, institutional, personal, or professional—that may influence their research or interpretation of findings.
Authors are encouraged to complete the standard disclosure form provided by ICMJE (
www.icmje.org/coi_disclosure.pdf).
An appropriate example of funding acknowledgment may read:

“This research was financially supported by Institution A. Dr. B’s contribution was supported by Organization C.”

Plagiarism and Originality Policy
JRHMS strictly prohibits plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate submission.
All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality.
Any instance of copied content or unethical writing practice will result in immediate rejection and potential notification to the author’s affiliated institution.

Copyright and Licensing
Prior to publication, authors must submit a signed Copyright Transfer and Authorship Responsibility Form, available on the journal’s website.
By signing, authors affirm that their submission is original, has not been published previously, and is not under review by another journal in any form.

Open Access Policy
JRHMS is an open access journal, allowing unrestricted online access to all published material.
The journal believes that free and immediate availability of scientific knowledge promotes global research collaboration and equitable dissemination of information.

Retraction and Correction Policy
The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and flowcharts when dealing with retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern.
Decisions regarding these matters are made with transparency and in accordance with ethical publishing practices.

Complaints and Appeals
JRHMS is committed to maintaining an open and fair editorial process.
Authors, reviewers, or readers who wish to raise a concern or complaint may contact the Editor-in-Chief directly through the journal’s official email.
All complaints are reviewed promptly and addressed following COPE’s procedures to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Assisted Tools

At the time of submission, authors are required to clearly declare whether any form of artificial intelligence (AI)-based assistance was used during the preparation of their manuscript. This includes, but is not limited to, large language models (LLMs), chatbots, text generators, image-creation software, or data analysis tools.
If such technology has been employed, authors must specify the nature and extent of its use in both the cover letter and the manuscript itself, within the most relevant section.
For example:
  • When AI is used to enhance writing quality or assist with language, this should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgment section.
  • When AI is utilized in data gathering, statistical analysis, or figure creation, this should be explained clearly in the Methods section.
AI-based tools, including chatbots such as ChatGPT, cannot be credited as authors under any circumstances, since they lack accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of scholarly work.
Authors are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the content generated or refined with the help of AI tools. While AI can produce fluent and convincing text, it may also contain errors, biases, or incomplete information, which must be carefully corrected by human authors.

Furthermore, authors must ensure that no plagiarism exists in any part of the manuscript, including text, figures, or other materials created with the assistance of AI.
AI systems or software must not be listed or cited as an author or co-author. Human authors are responsible for ensuring accurate attribution and proper citation of all sources and referenced materials used in the paper.
